Janice Rainbolt, age 76, of Locust Grove, Virginia, passed away on October 24, 2019 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer and COPD.
She was at peace and in trust with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born to Marjorie and Frazier Fletcher in Grundy, Virginia, on April 14, 1943.
She had a love for cooking and if you came to visit her, chances were you would be in the kitchen talking with her while she was making something for everyone to eat.
She first fell in love and married James Meade and they raised two daughters, Janet and Belinda. After Spiders passing she managed to fall in love again and married Harry Rainbolt on June 27, 1992 and became the mother and grandmother to a whole new and wonderful family.
In addition to her two husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Roger and sisters Sandy, Carol and Rita.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janet and Belinda; step-daughter Cheryl; step-sons Bubbs and Sheridan. She had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Bobby, Johnny and Jerry and her sisters Evelyn, Joyce and Bett.
Jan was an angel on earth and will be loved and missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, Virginia. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Virginia.
