Frances “Fran” Elizabeth Cash Myers, age 79, of Fredericksburg, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. She was born in Fredericksburg to Thomas Abner Cash, Sr. and Hester Elizabeth Davis Cash. She was raised in Orange County and graduated from Orange County High School. She was employed many years at Virginia Metal Products, in Orange, Virginia before marrying her husband, Marion “Bill” William Myers, Jr.
Fran is survived by her brother, Thomas Abner Cash, Jr. of Clarkesville, Georgia, her nephew, Brandon Thomas Cash, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and children, Sheila Myers Long, and Darryl Marion Myers & wife, Jill, of Spotsylvania and granddaughter, Selena Cheyenne Myers, of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by an extended loving Myers Family and Hopewell United Methodist Church Family.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, her sisters, Virginia Cash Jacobs, and Betty Cash Uram and daughter, Selena Mae Myers, as well as grandson, George Allen Bannar , Jr. She was a Sunday school teacher of children and adults, a member of Hopewell Share & Care, designed weekly altar flowers for many years and had a special talent for making beautiful crafts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 7th, 2019 at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 23557 Lignum Road, Lignum, VA. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and the service at 2:00 p.m., with by Pastor Mike Evans officiating.
