Everett Sims Lamers, age 84, of Bealeton, Va. died on August 1, 2013 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, Va. Born February 3, 1929 in So. Portland, Maine,
he was the son of the late John D. and Winifred Sims Lamers.
Mr. Lamers was an optician. He spent most of his adult life on his farm in Bealeton where he enjoyed the serenity of nature and the peace and quiet
of his surroundings. He was an outdoorsman and hard worker. He also served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Johnson Lamers. His is survived by a brother, John Lamers of Philadelphia, PA.; and two
sisters, Betty Shade of Berlin, M.D. and Marion Pronk of Locust Grove, Va. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, who remember
him lovingly being driven around his farm on his tractor and fishing in his pond.
Funeral services for Mr. Lamer will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, Va., with a
visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Amos Healy will officiate. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Va, with honors.
